About Emily

Emily Rosenfeld

In 1988, after graduating with a degree in English, I started working for production jewelers and realized that I had found my direction.  After moving to the Bay Area, and taking a few workshops I started selling my designs in 1991.

For two years, in Oakland, I ran my business out of a Murphy bed closet. Since then I have lived, again, in New Paltz, NY, finally settling in Western Massachusetts. With a view of trees and a river we swim in during the summer, my studio is in a converted factory building filled with other artists and lots of light.

I am privileged and thankful to be part of the immensely supportive and loving community of craftspeople and crafts buyers. Grateful that I have been able to support myself and my son doing what I love, making my work makes me very happy; I hope owning it and sharing it brings a measure of joy as well.
